The SNCB has many buildings and thousands of employees/contractors that need access to these buildings.
Process to request access was paper based
- It takes time (internal paper mail)
- Multiple iterations because paper form did not always contain the right info from the start
- No way to see the status of the request
Freemind developed a customized web application that implements the control flow of the requests (introduction, approval, …)
- Efficiency: Requests are filled up correctly from the start thanks to the built in controls
- One stop shop: Control flow, administration, reporting, … All is managed by the custom built application
- Gain of time: a request can be introduced, approved and ready to provision in 10 minutes versus multiple weeks before
- Transparency: Each person sees at any point in time the status of his requests/tasks in the application.
